Drs. Marc and Kelly Barnett have been practicing in the Ozark area since 1984. Kelly graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University Kansas and Marc graduated Magna Cum Laude from William Jewell College. They both graduated "with distinction" (in the top 10%) from the University of Missouri Dental School in Kansas City. After graduating, Kelly taught as a professor of clinical dentistry in Kansas City and Marc took extra training in a General Practice Residency at the V.A. Hospital in Kansas City.

Kelly served as the first female president of the Greater Springfield Dental Society and as been a delegate to the Missouri Dental Association. She has served as the Vice President and President of the Board of the OTC hygiene and dental assisting school. She is a member of the Pierre Fauchard Dental Honorary Society and The American College of Dentists. Marc has held positions with Greater Springfield Dental Society on the Children's Smile Center Board in Ozark to treat under privileged children. Marc and Kelly have lived in the Ozark area since 1984 and have two grown children, Tish and Burke.

Dr. Tracy Davis:

Originally from Conway, MO, Dr. Tracy Davis moved to the Springfield area in 2004 to be closer to family. Like the Barnetts, she graduated "with distinction" (in the top 10%) from the University of Missouri School of Dentistry in Kansas City. Tracy has also received national recognition as a dental researcher.

Tracy and her husband, Matthew, have been married since 1997. They live in Ozark with their 4 children: Ethan, twins Elijah and Isabella, and Owen. Needless to say, Tracy loves children! Dr. Tracy will make your children comfortable in the office (and Mommy and Daddy, too!).

Dr. Nick Matthews:

Dr. Nick Matthews grew up in Southwest Missouri and is a graduate of Republic High School and Drury University. He received his Doctor in Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri Kansas City and graduated with honors in Endodontics. Nick has earned a number of professional awards and is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Christian Medical Dental Association. Nick has a heart to serve others, believes in treating his patients with respect and compassion, and is dedicated to providing dental care that promotes optimal oral health and a healthy smile.

Nick and his wife Ali have been married since 2008 and reside in Ozark. He is an avid outdoorsman and loves to spend time with his family and friends. Nick enjoys having the opportunity to meet, work with, and help the people of Southwest Missouri!

THE STAFF

Karen: Karen started her dental career in 1985 and has past experience in all areas of dentistry including chairside dental assistant, business team member and office manager. She is now our Practice Administrator. She works closely with the doctors and the team at Barnett-Davis Dental to ensure that our vision of promoting optimal oral health with exceptional patient care is always in the thoughts and actions of all our team members. Her outstanding charismatic ways and friendly smile will definitely make you feel welcome and comfortable in our office. Karen and her husband, Bill live in Nixa. She has a daughter that attends Nixa High School and a son that lives in Springfield, Missouri. Traveling to any place with warm temperature and a beach is on the top of her list. Karen enjoys watching all sports, especially the Cardinal's baseball team. She loves to read and try her hand in gourmet cooking in her free time.

Elaina: Elaina comes to our office from Norwood, Missouri. She graduated in 1987 from the Dental Assisting Program at East Central College in Union, Missouri. 25 years of dental assisting and front desk experience has given her a vast knowledge of the dental field. Elaina has been married to Curtis since 1989 and they have three teenagers: Jessica, Michael, and Chasity. Elaina spends a lot of time attending basketball and baseball games. She also sings in the church choir and helps out in the nursery at Mansfield 1st Assembly of God Church. We love her positive attitude and deep compassion for people!

Cindy: Cindy is a "woman of all trades". She is our business coordinator. She can help you in scheduling appointments, answering insurance questions and calculating insurance benefits. Cindy can answer most of your questions concerning your appointments and if she doesn't have the answer, you can be guaranteed that she will find it quickly. One of her favorite aspects of her job is building friendships with our patients and she many times goes that "extra mile" to help our patients because she cares for them so much. Cindy has been in the dental field since 1988 and has been with our office since 2000. She is dedicated to provide our patients with the customer service they deserve. Cindy and her husband, Dwayne, have raised four children. At home, Cindy loves spending time with her family, enjoys working outside and she has a passion for animals, especially horses.

Judy: Judy has worked in the dental field since 1971 and has been with the Barnett's since 1991. Judy truly understands all aspects of dentistry because she worked as Dr. Barnett's main clinical assistant before assuming administrative duties at the front desk in 1994. Judy is now our financial coordinator and will assist you in financial arrangements, insurance inquiries as well as clinical treatment questions. She goes above and beyond expectations in analyzing your dental insurance benefits and happily explains these insurance benefit details during individualized private consultations. She is a highly trained, experienced dental professional that is sensitive to the fact that people have different needs in fulfilling their financial obligations. She will make sure that financial considerations are not an obstacle to providing you the dental treatment that you deserve. Judy has been married to Jeff for 31 years and in their spare time they enjoy playing golf and being outdoors.

Jacklyn: Jacklyn graduated from Vatterott college in 2005 as a dental assistant. You'll find her smiling at the front desk in our office. She is super-sweet, very sincere and has great eye for attention to detail. She lives in Rogersville with her husband Jason and their little girl Jacelyn. Summertime for Jacklyn means spending time at the lake wake boarding and relaxing on the boat. She really enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid shopper with her mom. She loves to make everyone smile because she believes that " A smiling face is a happy face."

Becky: Becky has been in dentistry for over 20 years. She is very detail oriented and can help explain the details of dental insurance. In Rogersville, Becky lives with her husband of 22 years, their 20 year old daughter and their high school son. She enjoys being outside gardening, shopping with her daughter and watching her son play basketball and baseball. Becky has a passion to make people smile! That's why we are so glad she is on our team!

Bunnie: Bunnie has been associated with Barnett-Davis Dental Group since 2001. She is a highly trained chairside assistant with over 20 years of experience. Bunnie will make your visit to our office pleasant and comfortable. Her friendly, calming personality combined with her expert clinical skills is a fabulous combination. Her favorite procedure is the 1 hour laser bleaching. She loves to see patients so excited about their whiter smile after this simple procedure! She currently lives in Fremont Hills with her husband, Roy. The mother of identical triplet girls, Bunnie is now an empty nester as her daughters are all sophmores at Missouri State University. When not cheering on the MSU Basketball Bears, Bunnie loves to spend time with her husband and their beloved yorkie, Kipper.

Veronica: Veronica, better known to our patients as "Vern", has been a dental assistant since 1993. She grew up in Lebanon, Missouri, but has lived in the Springfield/Nixa area since graduating from Dental Assisting School at OTC in 1993. She has been a dental assistant for 19 years and her favorite procedures are crown and bridge--she loves to see the transformation that is possible! Vern is passionate about preventive and cosmetic dentistry and has been working at Barnett-Davis Dental Group for ten years. Vern has three boys and they enjoy playing sports, camping and going to the lake.

Sherry: Sherry has been a dental assistant since 1977 and has been with our office since 2002. Her past experience in specialty offices includes pediatrics and endodontics. Sherry loves working in general dentistry because of the ongoing relationships and care that she can provide our patients. Her goal is to provide the best possible dental care in a comfortable and fun atmosphere. Her love of life is contagious! Sherry has been married to Frank for over 30 years and they have two grown daughters. They are "empty nesters", but have two dogs that are now their "babies".

Tara: Tara was born and raised locally in Nixa and lives in Clever with her husband, David, his daughter Courtney, and their new baby girl Kynlee. Tara loves educating patients with any concerns they may have about their teeth and gums. They love their 2 dogs. Patches is a boxer that they rescued from the Humane Society and Lucy is a pomeranian (they provide lots of entertainment!) Tara loves being outdoors. She likes to fish and has recently taken up hunting. She loves to be around people and making them smile (just perfect for a dental office)!! Her beautiful smile is contagious--you just might find yourself smiling a lot more after a visit to our office.

Chylesa: Chylesa graduated from Everest College as a dental assistant. She has a beautiful smile that is contagious and a great sense of humor. Chylesa grew up in Willard and now lives in Springfield with her dog, Lilly. She loves to go four-wheeling, being outdoors, bonfires and watching baseball. GO CARDS! Chylesa loves spending her spare time with family and friends! She is so excited to be working as a Barnett-Davis Dental team member!

Danielle: Danielle has been a clinical dental assistant since 2005 and graduated from OTC in 2007. Danielle is so good to help educate and inspire our patients! She understands that the patient's needs are top priority! Danielle is married and has a beautiful 2 year old daughter. You will usually find her outdoors in her spare time. She loves camping, riding horses and floating on the river wih her friends and family. We're so glad to have Danielle on our dental team!

Tina: You know that Tina will always greet you with beautiful white smile! Tina graduated from OTC Dental Assisting in 1998 and has been a clinical dental assistant since then. Her personality and exceptional patient care will make you feel comfortable when you are in the office! She is great with children! In fact, she has two beautiful daughters herself: Brinley and Natalee. Tina loves the outdoors! Camping and time at the lake are some of her favorite pastimes with her friends and family.

Trish: Trish is one of our Registered Dental Hygienists. You will always see her smiling her beautiful white smile! She has been working in the dental field since 1996 and graduated from Ozarks Technical Community College in 2003 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is very excited about joining Barnett-Davis Dental Group and being able to provide great dental care with the latest technology. Trish enjoys teaching others the importance of oral health and how it can affect your overall health. She married her high school sweetheart Matt and they have two children who keep them quite busy. She is an active member at Hopedale Baptist Church and enjoys playing golf, running, working out and just being outdoors doing anything with her family.

Rachelle: Rachelle is one of our licensed Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH). She began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1993 and furthered her education by attending Dental Hygiene School at Ozark Technical Community College. She has been with Barnett-Davis Dental Group since 1998. Her passion for preventive dentistry is contagious and she loves taking care of patients in a positive environment. (She will even keep those " flossing lectures" to a minimum!) Rachelle enjoys summers at the lake with her husband, John, and is a huge fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and St. Louis Cardinals. Go Steelers!! Go Cards!!

Maddy: You are going to love this hygienist that calls Springfield her hometown! Maddy has an amazing smile and her warm personality shines through it. Maddy graduated from the OTC Dental Hygiene Program and takes great pride in being a fantastic hygienist. Maddy will make you feel comfortable from the moment she greets you all the way through the end of your dental appointment! She and her husband Danny love to go to St. Louis Cardinal games to cheer them on. One of her new adventures is learning to play golf.

Katie: Katie graduated with a Dental Hygiene degree from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. A Nixa native, she is so happy to be back working and living in this area. As a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), she takes great pride in helping others. "One of the greatest joys in my life is taking care of our patients and educating them about the importance of healthy gums. I love helping them feel better, be healthy and flash a confident, beautiful, shining smile when they leave our office. I want our patients to have a positive experience when they visit the dentist. I truly believe that when you smile, the whole world smiles back." When Katie isn't "flashing" her winning smile at Barnett-Davis Dental Group, she likes to be with her family and friends, compete in triathalons and various runs, read, knit and root for the St. Louis Cardinals. Alicia: Originally from California, Alicia moved to Springfield and started working for Barnett-Davis Dental Group in 2005 as a clinical chairside assistant. She remained working part-time at Barnett-Davis Dental Group as she began dental hygiene school in 2008. She graduated in May 2010 as a registered dental hygienist and received the Hu Freidy Golden Scaler award for clinical excellence. Alicia is very sweet and delivers excellent periodontal care with a gentle touch. She is married to her husband William and they have 2 French Bulldogs. She loves outdoor activities, such as hiking, camping and floating. Her favorite thing about the Ozarks is the beautiful Autumn colors.
